Hey everyone, DennisCW here! I just came across an incredible Tesla milestone that's got me seriously excited. A fellow Tesla owner named David has racked up nearly 13,000 miles—specifically 12,961 miles—driving 100% on Full Self-Driving (FSD) version 14.2. That's right: zero interventions from coast to coast and back, crisscrossing the US left, right, and everywhere in between!
Shoutout to David for this beast of a road trip! He shared a screenshot that's pure gold:
He didn't just highway-hop—he stopped at cool spots like Vegas and even swung by Tesbros to get his Tesla wrapped. Intervention-free driving across the entire country? That's a testament to how far FSD has come. Version 14.2 is holding strong, even if it threw a little curveball at the end (not sure what happened there, but 13K miles is still legendary).
But wait, there's more. David dropped a "confession" that's sparking some real debate:
"I don't care about that battery degradation one bit. I exclusively DC fast charge and a ton of the time it's well above 80%."
And get this: 96% of his charging has been at Superchargers. He's been hammering those DC fast chargers without a second thought!
This hits close to home for me. With our Tesla Cybertruck enjoying free Supercharging, we've been blasting through sessions too. Long-term battery health under heavy Supercharging is going to be fascinating to track. Will degradation be worse than expected, or will Tesla's batteries hold up like champs? David's ride will be a real-world case study.

We've been saying it all along: FSD v14 is pretty darn good. It's not perfect—it can still pull some surprises—but update after update, it's improving. If you haven't tried it yet, remember: it's a computer on wheels. Stay vigilant, but trust the progress.
One more thing for FSD owners: A clean interior makes a huge difference. Dust and debris can mess with the cabin camera. My go-to solution? 3W All-Weather Floor Mats.
Check them out in the description below (or linked here: 3W Floor Mats). Your Tesla will thank you.
