Beat Tesla's 72-Month Financing Rates and Latest Tesla Updates
Hey everyone, Dennis here from DennisCW! If you're a fan of my YouTube channel, you know I love diving into Tesla deal hacking, tips, and the latest news to help you save money and make the most of your Tesla experience. This blog post is based on one of my recent videos where we covered everything from slashing interest rates on your Tesla loan to exciting Tesla spottings and maintenance advice. Let's break it down step by step – and don't forget to check out the links below for exclusive deals!
How to Get a Lower Interest Rate on 72-Month Tesla Financing
If you're eyeing a Tesla Model Y and want to finance over 72 months, Tesla's current rate is 5.49% – ouch, especially compared to 3.99% for 60 months. But don't worry, you can beat this by shopping around, and the key is starting now because it takes time.
Tesla acts as a broker, connecting you with banks like Chase or Bank of America. To get better rates:
- Go Through a Credit Union: These often offer lower rates. For example:
- Navy Federal: 4.79% for 72 months (if you're eligible – great if you're already a member).
- PenFed: 4.84% to 5.09%.
There are even more options with rates as low as 4.5-4.7%. Check out our Patreon group for a full list. Do the math to see if the savings justify the effort over 72 months.
Pro Tip: Before buying, use a Tesla referral code (like mine in the description) for 3 months of Full Self-Driving (FSD) or to support the channel if you're already getting FSD.
Also, check if you qualify for the tax deduction on car loan interest (if your income is under $100K single or $200K joint) – it could save you more over time.

Tesla Model Y Performance Details and Mysterious Spottings
Quick update: The Model Y Performance sits 0.5 inches lower than the Long Range AWD, paired with sporty seats and adaptive suspension for a smoother, more dynamic drive – perfect for tracks or highway ramps.
We also spotted something intriguing via drone footage: A Tesla vehicle without a visible glass roof or front light bar. Could this be the rumored affordable Model Y? Speculation is rife – let me know your theories!
Must-Have Tesla Accessory: 3W All-Weather Floor Mats
New Tesla owners, listen up: Your car doesn't come with all-weather floor mats, but they're essential. After testing brands like 3D Maxpider, Tesmanian, and Amazon options, my top pick is 3W Liners. I've got them in my Model X, Model 3, Model Y, and Cybertruck.

Viewer Spotlight: Model 3 Performance Orders and Tips
Shoutout to Mopar for ordering a Model 3 Performance on 8/28 – the wait can be tough! If delivery is 9/9-9/30, message Tesla about in-stock options; they might offer a quicker switch or discount. Considering FSD? DM me on Instagram for half-off tips or 0% financing via transfer.
Would You Buy a Cybercab with a Steering Wheel?
More Cybercab prototypes are popping up around Giga Austin, some with steering wheels and rear wheels visible. Tesla says the final version won't have one to prevent interference in robotaxi mode, but what if they offered a steerable version as a two-seater? Would you buy it in Q4? Sound off in the comments!
Is Supercharging Bad for Your Tesla Battery?
A common question! Tesla's recent maintenance guide recommends:
- Keep battery between 20-80% for daily use.
- Reserve 100% charges for trips.
- Limit excessive Supercharging to reduce strain.
- Prefer home/office Level 2 charging (like a Wall Connector) for battery health.
I'm testing this with my Cybertruck's unlimited free Supercharging – charging to 100% most days. With an 8-year/150K-mile warranty, it's low-risk for now. A Recurrent study of 160K data points showed no significant degradation difference between frequent (>70%) and infrequent (<30%) fast charging... yet. Time will tell.
My advice: If it's a new Tesla with warranty, don't sweat it. For used ones nearing 100K miles, be cautious. What's your Supercharging routine?

Things You'll Never Do Again After Buying a Tesla
On the fence? Here's a fun list of ICE vehicle hassles you'll ditch:
- Start your car (no key turn needed).
- Turn it off (just walk away).
- Manually lock/unlock.
- Toggle headlights (auto everything).
- Carry a bulky key (phone or card key).
- Shift gears manually (auto shift via cameras).
- Put in park (opens door = park).
- Get oil changes.
- Deal with gas pumps.
- Enter a hot/cold car (precondition via app).
- Be the slowest on the road (instant torque!).
- Use two pedals (regen braking).
With FSD, you might not even drive 80-90% of the time!
Tesla Solar is Getting Cheaper – Act Now!
Tesla's study shows potential to cut solar install costs by 40% (from $5/watt to $3/watt). If you own a home and an EV, solar is the next logical step – especially in sunny spots like CA or TX. We maxed our roof with panels and a Powerwall; it saved us during outages.
The 30% federal tax credit ends soon, so get in contract now. In OC? DM me on Instagram for a reputable installer with Dennis deals!
