Hey everyone, DennisCW here! If you've been eagerly waiting for the affordable $60,000 Tesla Cybertruck, I have some news that might hit you like a ton of bricks. A lot of you have been blowing up my comments asking for updates, and while this might not be the official word from Elon, it's coming straight from Tesla's own AI assistant on tesla.com. Buckle up—let's dive in.
It all started when Truth Be Seekers shared a screenshot from Tesla's AI chatbot. When asked about delivery timelines for the $59,990 Cybertruck (yep, that entry-level model), the response was crystal clear:
"Your Cybertruck delivery is estimated for 2027. Delivery scheduling will open once we confirm your vehicle's arrival date."
Whoa. 2027? That's a long wait! I know Tesla teased June production starts, but was that for everyone or just a lucky few Foundation Series buyers? Either way, this AI slip-up has everyone talking.
Want to check for yourself? Head over to tesla.com, fire up their AI assistant, and plug in your Reservation Number (RN). See what it tells you—and drop your results in the comments below!
This delay has me revisiting that poll I ran recently: Will the Rivian R2 or the $60K Cybertruck hit customer hands first? With Rivian pushing hard on their compact SUV and now this Cybertruck timeline, I'm leaning towards the R2 pulling ahead. What do you think? Vote in the poll on my YouTube channel and let me know!
The base Cybertruck price has crept up to around $69K in some configs anyway, so if you're holding out for the budget beast, patience is key—or maybe it's time to pivot?
One silver lining? No matter when your Cybertruck arrives, you'll want to protect that interior from day one. That's why I swear by 3W All-Weather Floor Mats—our absolute favorites for perfect fitment and durability.

Tesla moves fast, but delays happen—especially with game-changers like the Cybertruck. Fingers crossed this AI estimate is overly conservative and deliveries ramp up sooner. Stay tuned for more updates, and subscribe to my channel for the latest EV news!
