Tesla Cybertruck Delivery: Cleanliness Check, Buyer Interview, and First Drive
Hey everyone, DennisCW here! If you've been following my channel, you know I'm all about the latest in Tesla tech and real-world experiences. In my latest video, I headed to a Tesla delivery center to pick up a brand-new Cybertruck with a friend, and let me tell you—it was an adventure. From checking out the build quality to chatting with the excited new owner, Gil, this post breaks it all down based on the video. If you haven't watched it yet, head over to my YouTube channel and give it a view!
Arriving at the Delivery Center
We pulled up to a bustling Tesla lot packed with Model Ys, Model 3s, and even a few Model Xs ready for their new owners. It was delivery day chaos—in the best way. One cool sighting: a Cybertruck in Tesla service, likely a buyback or loaner for technicians. (Pro tip: If you're a Tesla mobile tech, that's a sweet perk!)
Before diving in, a quick shoutout to my video partner, Joa. They make must-have Tesla accessories like phone mounts and center console organizers—stuff your Tesla doesn't come with but you'll wonder how you lived without. Check them out in the description below and use my promo code for savings!
The Cybertruck Walkaround: Is It Cleaner This Time?
Remember my previous Cybertruck delivery video? Mine arrived filthy! So, I was eager to see if Tesla had stepped up their game. Gil's Cybertruck was parked and ready, and spoiler: it looked way cleaner than mine. Produced in April 2024 (wait, transcript says 2025—must be a typo, folks!), it had been in inventory for about 3-4 months.
We did a thorough walkaround:
- Wheels and Sides: Core wheels looked solid, panels aligned pretty well overall.
- Window Sticker and Goodies: They placed the sticker, J-plug, and a welcome message on the dash. Fun fact: The welcome note was melting a bit—hilarious! Registration was smartly placed on the side for easy reach.
- Issues Spotted: Not perfect, though. There was a massive gap on one side panel—definitely a service fix needed. The top glass and other areas were gap-free and clean, but that one spot? Oof. I'd rate this delivery an 8/10—better than mine, but room for improvement.
Overall, it was exciting to see the Cybertruck in the flesh, gaps and all. Tesla's quality control is improving, but always inspect yours closely!
Interview with the New Owner: Meet Gil
While waiting for paperwork (app accept or in-person signing—Tesla keeps it flexible), I chatted with Gil, the proud new Cybertruck owner. He's a dental hygienist earning about $75/hour, and he financed this beast at 0% APR—smart move! He added Full Self-Driving (FSD) and put down $4,700 on a 0% APR credit card.
Why the Cybertruck? Gil sees it as an "indestructible tank." We even honked the horn—it agreed! (If you know the Cybertruck horn, you get it.)
Purchase Process: Smooth via the app, though getting hold of people can be tricky. Living close to a center helps—he's on a first-name basis there.
Elon's Impact? Gil wasn't fazed by the news stories or politics. His main concern was family safety amid rare incidents of Tesla-targeted harassment, but he refuses to live in fear. Wise words: If you're judging someone by their car, look in the mirror.
Congrats, Gil—enjoy that indestructible ride!
First Drive Impressions
The moment of truth: Gil's first pull-out from the lot. "Goodbye, Tesla. Thank you, Elon!" How does it feel? Like instant depreciation (as his dad warned), but in the best way—especially with FSD kicking in right away. We laughed about the 20% value drop, but hey, that's new car life.
Driving the Cybertruck is exhilarating—smooth, powerful, and yes, a head-turner.
Final Thoughts
This delivery was a step up from my last one, with better cleanliness and prep. If you're eyeing a Cybertruck, snag that 0% financing while it lasts, inspect thoroughly, and don't let external noise deter you. Tesla's pushing boundaries, and owners like Gil prove it's worth it.
