Hey everyone, Dennis here from DennisCW! If you're as obsessed with Tesla deals and the latest EV news as I am, you're in for a treat. In my latest video, we dove into the brand new Frost Blue color that's already rolling off production lines, Jay Leno's take on the Tesla Semi, and some game-changing California incentives for EV owners. Plus, tons more Tesla updates. Let's break it all down!
Tesla just dropped Frost Blue (also called Blue Frost or Glacier Blue in some markets), and it's exclusive to Model 3 Performance and Model Y Performance variants. Production has kicked off at Fremont and Giga Texas, with vehicles already spotted on transport trucks in the Bay Area and heading to showrooms.
Model 3 Performance in Frost Blue – looking sporty!
Why does it slap so hard?
It reminds me of my old BMW M3 in Yas Marina Blue – Tesla nailed that sporty aesthetic. Unplugged Performance even rendered their "Red Rocket" in Frost Blue, and it looks 🔥. If you're ordering, this could be the color upgrade worth the $1,000 (though I'm sticking with my Diamond Black Model Y for now).
Pro tip: Tesla waited until production was ramped before announcing – smart move for quick deliveries!
Legendary car guy Jay Leno got behind the wheel of the Tesla Semi and shared his thoughts:
"Drove it quite a lot. I was quite impressed... It's as fast as a Tesla, but it's like driving an office building. Huge thing that moves... 500 miles range, 60-80% charge in 30 minutes with a Megacharger. Saving on fuel costs – pretty interesting."
Key takeaways:
Love seeing celebs like Leno validate Tesla's big rigs!
Production is ramping for the $160K (or $200K resale?) Signature Edition Model S and X. Fremont's churning out the maroon units for next week's delivery event (only 250 total). If you're lucky enough to snag one, send pics!
InsideEVs listed 42 EVs hitting 300+ miles in 2026. Highlights:
| Vehicle | Range (mi) | |----------------------|------------| | Lucid Air GT | 465 | | Cadillac Escalade IQ | 465 | | Lucid Gravity | 450 | | BMW iX3 | 434 | | Rivian R1T | 420 | | Tesla Model 3 | 363 | | Tesla Model Y | 357 |
Tesla's efficient and affordable – perfect for daily commutes with home charging. (Pro tip: Skip EVs without home charging!)
New software uses front-facing cameras to predict collisions and deploy airbags 70 milliseconds faster. In a crash, that's huge for safety. Tesla's vision-only approach keeps pushing boundaries.
Big news for Golden State folks: California's ZAP (Zero Emission Assurance Project) offers up to $7,500 for EV battery repairs (or $10K toward a new EV if repairs exceed that). Funded with $10M – addresses battery replacement fears head-on. Check California's site for eligibility.
Inventory watch: Model Y stock rising – deals incoming?
Model Y L launch prediction coming soon (Q3?). Frost Blue on it? Fingers crossed. Drop your thoughts in the comments – Frost Blue yay or nay? Watching any other EVs?
