Hey everyone, DennisCW here! If you're a Tesla owner with Hardware 3 (HW3), I've got some exciting news you've been waiting for. A major update is on the horizon for older Tesla vehicles, bringing Full Self-Driving (FSD) capabilities closer to what HW4 owners enjoy.
Tesla has confirmed a big update for HW3, as mentioned by Ashok Elluswamy. It's slated for late June (Q2 timeframe), meaning it should roll out in the next few months. This will be FSD version 14 light – a lighter version optimized for HW3 hardware.
For those who forgot, Tesla promised this boost to keep HW3 competitive. But the big question remains: How 'light' will it really be? Will it handle the complex scenarios that HW4 tackles so smoothly? We're all eager to find out!
If you've been on the fence about sticking with your current Tesla or jumping to a new one with HW4:
What are you thinking? Waiting for the update, or trading up? Drop your thoughts in the comments below – let's discuss!
While you're cruising with FSD (or soon will be), level up your interior with accessories from Jowua. My absolute favorite is their phone mount – I use it 100% of the time. Super sturdy and perfect for navigation.
