Hey everyone, DennisCW here! If you're a Tesla enthusiast like me, you've probably been keeping an eye on the future of the Model S and Model X. Well, buckle up because Tesla just dropped a bombshell in South Korea—and it might be a preview of what's heading our way in the US.
Tesla has officially ended orders for the Model S and Model X in South Korea. They've set a firm deadline: orders will only be accepted until March 31st, 2026. That's less than a week for some customers to lock in their order before these models are discontinued in Q2.
This marks the first time Tesla has announced a clear cutoff date for these flagships in any market. No more wishy-washy timelines—just a hard stop.
Could this be a test run? I wouldn't be surprised if Tesla rolls out similar news here in the US around May or June. They'll probably say something like, "Hey, if you want a Model S or X, lock in your order now—before it's too late."
But here's the twist: Check out the recent Model S and X inventory trends. The lines (purple for S, blue for X) have spiked upward. It looks like Tesla might be prepping for a big Q2 clearance sale as production winds down. If you're hunting for a deal, keep your eyes peeled!
