Tesla Q2 Incentives Update: Best Deals on Model 3 Leases & Model Y Financing Right Now
Hey everyone, DennisCW here! If you're in the market for a Tesla, now's the time to pay attention. Tesla has rolled over many of their Q1 incentives into Q2 (April through June), but not everything is created equal. In this post, I'll break down what's a steal right now, what you should wait on, and what's already sold out. Let's dive in!
Model 3: The Star of the Show
The Model 3 is hands-down the best deal in Tesla's lineup. You can snag 0.99% APR financing—that's insanely low! But the real game-changer is leasing. Some inventory Model 3s are going for as low as $264/month (regularly $299 with a $1,630 discount). I recently helped a friend find one at $285/month.
Leasing is perfect if you're new to Tesla and want to "test drive" ownership for 3 years without long-term commitment. At the end, just hand it back to Tesla.
Pro Tip: Head to Tesla's inventory search, switch your zip code to "all deliverable" to see nationwide options, and lock in a deal fast.
Model Y: Great for Financing, Hold Off on Leasing
The Model Y offers 0% APR financing on select models (0.99% on Performance). That's solid if you're buying. However, leases aren't there yet—I'd recommend waiting for better terms.
Other Models: Proceed with Caution
- Cybertruck: No incentives or real inventory to speak of. Nothing to see here.
- Model S & X: They were stocked earlier, but now they're largely sold out. Keep an eye out—something might drop soon.
Stack These Incentives for Maximum Savings
- America's Hero Discount: $500 off. Verify with ID.me on Tesla's site (do this first!).
- My Tesla Referral Code: Use it here for 3 months of Full Self-Driving (FSD) and access to those killer rates. (Link in video description—grab it now!)
The other "incentives"? Meh:
- 2,000 miles free Supercharging (~$100-200 value)
- FSD subscription ($99/month—not a deal)
- Interest deduction (useless at 0-0.99% APR)
- 30 days Premium Connectivity
Tesla's throwing everything at the wall, but the financing and Model 3 leases are the winners.
When to Buy? Act Now or Wait?
Buy now: Model 3 (lease or finance), Model Y (finance only).
Wait: Model Y leases, everything else. Tesla's earnings call is April 23rd—better deals could follow, especially as Q2 progresses.
