Why the Change Makes Sense for Model S and X
Inventory for the Model S and Model X is dwindling fast—there's only about 50 units left across both models. With such low stock, Tesla doesn't need to subsidize financing to move them. They've even recently bumped prices by $15,000 on these high-end rides. The ultra-exclusive Signature editions, priced at a whopping $160,000, are getting more invites sent out (we got one!), but even loyal owners like us aren't biting at that price point. Unless you're leasing, it's hard to justify.
