The Tesla Roadster event is just two days away with a confirmed live stream on X at 8:55 PM Eastern Time.
Tesla Roadster Event Update Details
This timing lines up perfectly for a Pacific Time start at 6 PM, giving us a clear window to stream the full reveal without weather delays. Invites are already landing, and folks like Unplugged's Ben are heading to Texas right now.
Original Tesla Roadster Specs
Back in 2017 Tesla promised optional SpaceX thrusters, 0-60 in 1.9 seconds, 0-100 in 4.2 seconds, a 250 kWh battery for 620 miles of range, and a 250 mph top speed with three electric motors. Those numbers still sound wild, but the real story is how the body and structure have evolved since then.
Tesla Roadster 2026 and Flying Possibilities
I keep coming back to the weather cancellations last time around. That strongly hints at Tesla Roadster flying capability or at least hovering tricks like barrel rolls or rocket-style ascents. The Tesla Roadster event update should finally show us the production-ready version.
What This Means for Tesla Owners
If you're thinking about freeing up cash for a Roadster reservation, now is the time to check your options. Plug Motors — get an instant offer to sell your Tesla or EV can beat trade-in offers by three to six thousand dollars in many cases.
Bottom Line
Tesla Roadster production is finally moving from promise to reality. The live stream in two days will tell us how much the flying features and final specs have changed. I'm genuinely excited and will be streaming the whole thing.
