Hey everyone, DennisCW here! If you've been following my channel, you know I've been putting my Tesla Model Y Performance through its paces—especially after that epic road trip to Tesla Corsa. It's been almost 3 weeks since I last washed it, and let's just say it's filthy. Today, I'm taking you through the wash process and showing you exactly why Paint Protection Film (PPF) is a must-have if you drive your Tesla a ton.

First things first: car wash mode activated to keep water out of those tricky crevices. Take a look at this front end—it's completely jacked up. Bugs everywhere, rock chips, and even some stickers from Tesla Corsa still clinging on (note to self: remove those ASAP next time!). The sun isn't helping with peeling them off, but thankfully, Tesla makes it easy.
I also finally got my license plates in and slapped them on. But the real star here? The stealth PPF from the awesome team at OC10 Solutions. They wrapped the entire Model Y, and it's already proving its worth by protecting the paint from all those highway impacts.

Step 1: A good rinse to blast off the loose dirt. This bad boy is ceramic coated on top of the PPF (or wrap), so water beads right off.
No full detail today—just a solid soap spray-down. But the front? That's where the magic happens. Those bugs are ingrained, so I hit it with a heavy-duty bug remover spray. One pass loosens them up, but I went back for round two to get every last one.
Watch the satisfying rinse here in the video!
Rinsing off the soap reveals a pretty clean Model Y, even after weeks of neglect. Sure, it's not showroom-ready (save that for a full detail at home with my blow dryer), but here's the key takeaway:
PPF and ceramic coating make cleaning effortless. Spray, rinse, and you're done—no scrubbing required.
If you're driving thousands of miles like I do, unprotected paint would be toast right now. The PPF absorbed those rock hits, and the ceramic topcoat repels dirt like a champ. Pro tip: Wash sooner next time, folks!

The Model Y is looking sharp again and ready for more adventures. If you're on the fence about PPF, this is your sign—it's worth every penny for protection and ease.
Big shoutout to OC10 Solutions for the flawless install. Drop a like if this was satisfying, subscribe for more Tesla tips, and let me know in the comments: How often do you wash your EV?
